This poem is part of a suite of poems, also titled “for.“. The poems are a series of odes for friends and heroes who are no longer with us. While I never met or spoke with Cid Corman I certainly feel close to him. Some remembrances included of figures that I did actually know or spend some time with include Michael McClure, Mark Lanegan, Franz Wright, Richard Aaron Green, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, and Jerome Rothenberg. Others I did not personally know include Mina Loy, Leonard Cohen, Jonathan Williams, Leonora Carrington, and Cy Twombly. I am unsure when this book will come out, but my publisher thinks it will be before the year is done. I will post periodic updates as they present themselves.
